Do I need a GP referral?

Many patients are referred by their GP, but it is not essential that you visit them first. 

Can I claim through my health insurance plan?

Yes. Coe Associates are registered with all the major health insurance companies, including specialist status with Bupa and Axa PPP. You are recommended to contact your insurance company before you begin treatment, to confirm your level of cover.


Do I need further investigations?

In some cases further investigations might be required, such as x-rays, MRI scans, blood tests etc. Should this be the case, we will advise you on an appropriate referral. 

How long will it take me to get better?

Your rate of recovery will depend on several factors, including your age, general health, sensitivity to treatment, activities in your life, as well as the type of problem you have, and how long you have experienced it. We will always endeavour to give you an indication of how long at the time of your first consultation.

Where can I park?

Russell Avenue and Drovers Way NCP car parks are situated directly opposite the surgery. Otherwise pay-and-display parking is available outside on the street. 

What clothing should I wear?

To allow us to complete a full structural examination, you will normally be asked to remove some of your  outer clothing. Naturally this will depend on where you are experiencing pain, but it is normal practice, during a spinal examination, that you may be required to undress to your underwear. 

Can I contact you for advice?

We welcome any enquiries that you may have, by phone (01727-832359), email, or at the surgery. We are always happy to give you advice, free of charge, irrespective of whether you are a current patient .

If you are a current patient and you should have any specific concerns, relating to you condition or treatment, then we would much rather you contact us, as and when you may need to, than be anxious. 

What are our fees?

60 minute "new-patient" consultation is £60.00.

Follow-up appointments are £55.00.

What if I can’t make my appointment?

Should you be unable to keep your appointment, it is requested that you give at least 24 hours notice, or a charge will be incurred. 

Can I arrange a home visit?

Home visits are available on request, if your circumstances prevent you from attending the surgery.
